This availability directory is operated on behalf of participating Alaska chambers of commerce. This policy describes what information we collect from members and visitors, how we use it, and your rights.
Information We Collect
From member businesses
- Business name, address, and contact information — displayed on the public availability directory so visitors can find and contact your business.
- Phone numbers — your main business phone is displayed publicly. Your cell/mobile number may be used to send chamber notifications by text if you consent.
- Email address — used for account management, password resets, and chamber communications. Not displayed publicly.
- Availability data — the availability status you update is displayed publicly on the directory.
From visitors
We do not collect personal information from visitors browsing the public availability directory. No account is required to view availability listings.
How We Use Your Information
- To display your business listing on the public availability directory
- To send you account-related emails (password resets, activation notices)
- To send you chamber communications and availability reminders by email
- To send you SMS notifications if you provide a cell number and consent to receive text messages
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
SMS Notifications
If you provide your cell phone number at signup and consent to receive SMS messages, we may send you chamber notifications such as availability reminders and announcements. Message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message we send. For help, reply HELP.
Public Directory
Your business name, phone number, address, website, and availability are displayed publicly on this directory. This information is visible to anyone who visits the site. Please ensure the information you submit is appropriate for public display.
Data Retention
Member account data is retained while your membership is active. If your account is deactivated, your listing is removed from the public directory. Contact your chamber administrator to request deletion of your account data.
Cookies
We use a session cookie to maintain your login state. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.
Your Rights
You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct inaccurate information, or ask us to delete your account. Contact your chamber administrator or the address below.
